Insta steps up Interactivity

When it comes to features that promote Social Media interactivity the  Instagram development team is invariably at the forefront.  Their latest Stories development, ‘quiz stickers’, is an enhancement of the poll and question stickers features introduced in July last year, which will allow brands to move from binary “Yes or No” polls and questions to  multiple choice variants.

The assumption behind this is that multiple options will increase participation and allow brands to create richer engagement opportunities and we can't fault Insta’s logic here (remember school exams – we love multiple choice because we always think we’ve a reasonable chance of getting the answer correct, via a process of elimination!). The killer enhancement however is that users will find out instantly whether they got the answer right or not (and what the correct answer is). Easy to see how this could prove immensely popular.

Of course as with any interactivity feature, its what brands do with it creatively that will determine its value as a Social Media marketing tool. We’ll keep you posted when we found out a roll out date!
